Using Charts: Once you have created your worksheet with all the numeric data in it you can create your chart. If you highlight the area by clicking the left mouse button in the uppermost corner of your area and then hold down the left mouse button and drag the mouse accross your area it will highlight.

Once you have done that, click the chart symbol on the shortcut menu and it will start the chart wizard. Keep on clicking next until you see finish and then click finish. It will place the chart on your worksheet and you can move the chart on your worksheet area anywhere you wish. Also if you change the data on your worksheet the chart will automatically update.

Properties: Each cell has it's own properties. If you click in a cell and then right click on the cell you will have a floating menu which will be the properties of that cell. You can change the backcolor to the cell, change forecolor, which is usually the text in the cell and if you click on Format Cells you can change the format of the contents of the cell.
